Dr. Patrick Carr is a licensed physician and surgeon in Alabama and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Patrick Carr grew up in Clarksdale, MS with four other siblings on a family crop farm. He graduated from The University of Mississippi Magna Cum Laude with a Major in Biology and Minor in Chemistry.
Dr. Carr earned his Medical degree from The University of Mississippi Medical School. While there, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society during his third year and later graduated Suma Cum Laude. Upon graduation, he received the Walter S. Leathers award for the highest academic average GPA of his class over the 4 years of medical school. Patrick then Completed his Dermatology residency and Internal medicine internship at The University of Virginia where he served as chief resident during his last year. He has been published in many peer reviewed journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery among others. He has also co-authored multiple books chapters and presented at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual meeting.
Dr. Carr is trained in medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. His special interests include skin cancer prevention and early detection, phototherapy treatment for medical conditions, complex medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and dermatologic surgery.
Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife Jensen and daughter Lurae. They are excited to be in Huntsville/Madison closer to family and friends. He enjoys ultimate frisbee, backpacking, road biking, mountain biking, reading, traveling, woodworking, gardening, ken burns documentaries, Broadway shows, and puzzles.
Dr. Vernon Forrester is a distinguished board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, recognized for his exceptional expertise in surgical and oncologic dermatology, medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and dermatopathology. Graduating with distinction from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Dr. Forrester earned his medical doctorate from the VCU School of Medicine, where his exemplary performance led to induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honors society.
Completing his residency in dermatology at UVA Health Systems, Dr. Forrester served as a chief resident before pursuing advanced fellowship training in Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology (Mohs) at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Throughout his career, Dr. Forrester has contributed significantly to dermatologic literature, with publications in esteemed peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Journal of Dermatology. Additionally, he has co-authored seminal works in dermatopathology and delivered keynote presentations at national and international conferences on advancements in dermatologic and oncologic care.
Committed to patient advocacy, Dr. Forrester has championed access to care initiatives, engaging with congressional leaders in Washington, D.C., to elevate the importance of dermatologic healthcare. A dedicated member of esteemed professional organizations including the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Forrester’s overarching mission is to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to his patients, guided by his personal experience with skin cancer and a fervent desire to make a positive impact in their lives. As he aptly states, “My journey in dermatology was inspired by my personal encounters with skin cancer. Dr. Jordan Ivey is a licensed physician and surgeon in Alabama and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She was born in Arlington, Virginia, but spent most of her childhood in Dothan, Alabama. Dr. Ivey attended Auburn University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014 with a major in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Spanish.
Dr. Ivey earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She spent her 3rd and 4th years of medical school at the UAB Huntsville Regional Medical Campus. It was during those years that she met her husband and fell in love with the Huntsville/Madison area. She completed both her internship in Internal Medicine and three-year Dermatology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. During her dermatology residency, she was awarded the Resident Teaching Award by medical students for excellence in medical student education.
Dr. Ivey is trained in medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. Her special interests include skin cancer prevention and early detection, pediatric dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology. She looks forward to providing comprehensive dermatologic care to her patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Ivey enjoys spending time with her husband, Ross, and their son, Sam. She also enjoys exercising, reading, and spending weekends in Auburn during football season. She is excited to be back in the Huntsville/Madison area and to join the wonderful team at Southeastern Skin.

Britney Cryer joined the Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology family in 2022. She was born and raised in Alabama and brings an extensive medical background to the team. Britney graduated as a registered nurse in 2009 and worked at the UAB Trauma / Burn ICU until 2014. Afterward, she pursued and graduated with a MNS, FNP degree from UAB in 2015. Britney has since worked primarily as a nurse practitioner in the dermatology field but also has urgent care experience as well. Away from the office, she enjoys going to the lake, working out, and spending time with her husband and two children. Britney looks forward to providing you with great care and an enjoyable visit with us!

Rachel Damon joined the Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology team in 2017 after multiple years practicing Dermatology in New York.
Rachel, a native of northern NY, attained her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. With 15 years of experience in dermatology, she finds herself honored and humbled in aiding people through her work.
Beyond her profession, Rachel, alongside her husband, Vincent, is kept on her toes by their three young children and a sassy cat (the kids are sassy too). A proud advocate of Wegmans, she’ll enthusiastically inquire if you’ve experienced the wonders of what she believes to be the finest grocery store on Earth, especially if you’re from the northeast. She patiently awaits Wegmans to come to Huntsville.

Stephanie Rivera is a Board certified Physician Assistant with a range of Dermatology experience. Stephanie is originally from Orlando, Florida and joined our team at Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology in January 2014. Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology in 2006 from The University of Central Florida. After graduating, she was employed as a Medical/Surgical Assistant and a Mohs Micrographic Surgery Histology Technician for a Dermatology practice in Orlando for one year. Inspired by this experience, she furthered her education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from there with honors to earn her Masters of Medical Sciences degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2010. She has enjoyed practicing Dermatology since graduation and brings a wealth of knowledge in general and cosmetic dermatology to our practice. Stephanie is experienced in all aspects of dermatology, providing a variety of treatments for the skin, hair and nails. Her special interests include cosmetic dermatology and the prevention, detection and treatment of skin cancer and accelerated photoaging. A native Floridian, Stephanie enjoys almost any activity outdoors, volunteering and spending time with her husband, Dr. Rivera, their kids, and Labradoodle. She welcomes you to the practice and will make your visit as pleasurable as possible!

Brian Lasker is the Practice Administrator for Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology. He has over 20 years of physician medical practice management experience. Brian received his bachelors degree from Mississippi State University in Banking & Finance in 1993. He then received his Masters of Business Administration degree from Mississippi State University in 1994. He has served as President of the Alabama Medical Group Management Association and the Birmingham Medical Group Management Association in addition to many years of serving on the boards of each. Brian has also served on several Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama committees. When not “managing”, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, travel, and Mississippi State sporting events.
Lisa joined the Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology team after moving from North Carolina. Lisa has 4 children with her husband, Dennis. They recently celebrated 29 years together! In her free time, you can find Lisa riding bikes, hiking, or road tripping with Dennis. They have visited 13 national parks and her favorite so far has been Arches national park in Utah. Lisa will brighten your day with her positive attitude and great care during your time with us!
Regan is originally from Alabama, and worked in cardiology before joining the Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology team in 2024. Regan has two children and 3 fur babies at home. In her free time you can find Regan reading, watching sitcoms, or trying to keep up with her kids’ busy sports schedules! Regan will provide you her very best care each time you are with us for your visit and help make it an enjoyable appointment!
Originally from Hattiesburg MS, Melinda acquired an exercise physiology degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Shorty after graduation, she discovered her passion for aesthetics and then received her aesthetics license in 2006. She began her aesthetics career in Mississippi as a laser technician and esthetician, working for a physician owned medical spa, where she became the clinical director. Since then her experience has been through working in both plastic surgery and dermatology offices. She earned her laser hair professional and laser safety officer certifications in Dallas, allowing her to supervise and train other laser technicians in Texas. Melinda joined our team after moving from Texas and she now brings her experience to her patients in Madison. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her husband and son.
Teri joined us in 2016 as part of our clinical care group. She has been working in the medical field since obtaining her licensed practical nurse degree in 2006. Teri enjoys time spent with her husband, Robert, and her son, Brody. They also have two dogs, Mattie and Bama, also at home. Teri really loves the beach or any outdoor water activities – including the ever-popular moonlit walks on the beach. Teri’s cheerful attitude will greet you from the moment she brings you from the lobby and guides you to your room, hopefully making your day an enjoyable one!
Mindy has been a welcome addition to our medical assistant team. She graduated from UAB in 2021 with a Bachelors degree in Genetics and a Masters degree in Multidisciplinary Biomedical Sciences. Mindy is married to Russ and has 2 Cavapoos, named Teddy and Ellie. Mindy’s goal is to become a physician so she will be applying to medical school while working at Southeastern Skin. In her free time, Mindy enjoys going rock climbing, making resin art, and playing PC games. Mindy works very hard to provide you the best service and experience possible while you are in our clinic!
Amber is one of our Clinical Coordinators and was another one of Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology’s great additions in 2015. She attended Elkmont High School as well as Limestone County Career Technical Center. She gained her medical experience while working at Athens Rehab and Senior Care for 5 years and Athens Urology Associates for 2 years. Amber has 3 kids and a sweet fur baby named Blair. Amber is a huge fan of the TV show Friends and likes to start each morning with a Starbuck’s Coffee. With a desire to provide you with excellent service, Amber will assist you on the phone, or sometimes in the patient rooms, and you are certain to be pleased with your care!
Carley is one of our wonderful receptionists at Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology. She is originally from LaGrange Georgia but moved to Madison in 2020. Carley married her husband Jay in 2023. She has a daughter, son, and two bonus daughters! Carley has an early childhood development degree and worked in the school system until she decided to make the leap into healthcare. Carley has to start every day with an iced coffee (like many others!). In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, as well as going to concerts and baking! Carley looks to start your visit with us on a great note each time!
Shivani joined our wonderful team at Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology in 2024. She graduated from UAB with a degree in biomedical sciences and is planning to apply to Physician Assistant school soon! Shivni has worked in dermatology previously, as well as being a pharmacy technician for two years. Shivani enjoys watching anime, working out, hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Her family also owns Teriyaki Madness in Madison, yum! She is sure to provide you excellent care and attention while in our care!
Alisa is originally from Wiley, South Carolina, but she also claims Charlotte, North Carolina as home. She is married to her husband, Ronnie, who is an Army veteran and moved to Alabama in 2018. They have two children as well as a fur baby named Bama. Alisa loves playing volleyball as well as also coaching. You can find Alisa at the ball field in her spare time. With her expertise, Alisa will assist you in receiving your medications properly as well as coordinating various aspects of your care (sometimes behind the scenes without you ever knowing!). She is part of the team that looks to make every aspect of your care a positive experience !
Kalli is one of our skilled estheticians at Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology. She is originally from Southern California, but moved to Utah in high school where she met her husband. Kalli and her husband have been in Alabama since 2022 and recently bought a home. In her free time, Kalli loves to travel or spend her time on the water. Kalli became an Esthetician in 2018 and her favorite skin care service is micro needling! You will certainly receive top notch care from Kalli while visiting with us.
Shannon became part of our office family in October of 2015 after having gained 10 years of medical experience. Eight of those years were as a Registered Orthopedic Technician in spine and orthopedics. She has been married since 2004 to Brandon Smith and has a son, Nathan. Shannon enjoys reading, movies, photography as well as her three rescue dogs, Byron, Bella and Wally. Shannon expects to provide you with first class attention and care during your time in our office!
Sydney is one of our excellent clinical coordinators (as well various other clinical duties to help things flow efficiently). She is from Madison and graduated with a degree in biological sciences from UAH. Sydney likes to spend her time at the lake or reading books. Sydney also enjoys doing puzzles and hanging out with friends and family. Sydney’s favorite food is Mexican. On the phone, or in person directly helping with patient care, she does an excellent job ensuring that you have a terrific interaction with our team!
Jalianna has been a part of our wondeful admin/reception team at SESCD since April 2023. She is originally from Mobile, Alabama and moved to Madison in January 2023. Jalianna loves Jesus, working out, and going to the beach (always wear your sunscreen!). Her favorite thing to do is spend time with friends and family. In her spare time, when not doing any of the above, you can find her at a good concert. You will enjoy experiencing Jalianna’s personality each time as you are greeted at our practice!
Courtney is a wonderful addition to the Southeastern Skin reception/admin team . She moved to north Alabama in 2022 with her boyfriend. Her favorite thing to do is going out with her boyfriend, family and friends. She loves shopping and trying different restaurants. Courtney is a very outgoing and talkative person which is a perfect trait for her position here. Her favorite part about working here at Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatologoy is getting to meet new people and being the first face they see!
Autumn Wilkins joined the Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology team in 2021 and she has been in the medical field for 7 years. Autumn loves concerts, hanging with her husband Whit, and their two corgis Winston and Daisy, and you can often find her spending her afternoons inat the gym. Autumn’s positive and caring attitude is sure to brighten your day as you spend time with us for your medical, surgical or cosmetic visits!
Sarah, a Northern California native joined our wonderful team in 2021. She enlisted in the US Army when she was 19 years old and then was honorably discharged after four years serving as a medic in the 3rd infantry division. Sarah has worked in Dermatology since 2016. Her favorite things to do are watching movies with her daughter, Kaitlynn, traveling, and the outdoors. Ashley is our front desk coordinator who moved to Alabama in 2016 from Navarre Beach, FL. She used to live the beach life, but has fallen in love with Alabama. Ashley lives in Meridianville with her husband and four children. They have 2 dogs and 1 cat (who rules the house). She enjoys spending time with my family and friends. Her family has relaxing weekends at the house swimming in the pool and watching movies as well as loving almost every genre of live music. The have been to almost every concert at the new Orion Amphitheater and also travel out of town often for live shows. Since joining the team, she has fallen in love with the world of dermatology, learning something new every day, especially that sunscreen is your best friend! She enjoys team building with our wonderful admin/reception team and building relationships with our patients. Ashley loves talking to patients and getting to know them and their stories so you will certainly see her active at your visits!
Colette joined Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology in May 2023 as a Medical Assistant. She had recently graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and is applying for medical school. In her free time she likes to read, play with her dog Poppy, and run (plus she used to be a jumprope superstar!). She also enjoys going out for Tex-Mex and watching reality TV. Colette will be part of a wonderful visit for each patient!

Jessica moved to Alabama in 2022 and is one of our valued reception members. She lives in Madison with her husband and daughter, Mabry, who is 4 at the time of writing. Jessica enjoys both the skin care and cosmetics side of dermatology. In her spare time she enjoys shopping, going to concerts, and watching rom-com movies. Jessica has been a great addition to the team with her uplifting personality and comedic relief. She has a great sense of humor and you can often find her and Ashley (or anyone else) laughing!
Jordan is one of our great medical assistants. She is originally from Sumiton, AL and was in the Alabama Army National Guard for 5 years as a Behavioral Health Specialist. Afterward, Jordan worked in Behavioral Health and Internal Medicine for 6 years. Jordan has a daughter, Harper, and her two dogs are Coal and Derby. Away from work, Jordan enjoys working out and fishing as well as pursuing a nursing degree. Jordan will certainly use her experience to provide a wonderful visit with our team!
Reagan Boyett joined the Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology team in 2023. Reagan loves helping others and has been working in the medical field since before she graduated high school. She received her Medical Assistant Certification in 2021. Reagan is an animal lover and has three fur babies. Their names are Maisy, Luna and Ellie Mae. Reagan recently became an aunt to Bryson Colt, and she loves to spend time with him and pick him up from daycare. She enjoys cooking, going to the lake and spending time with family and friends. Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife Jensen and daughter Lurae. They are excited to be in Huntsville/Madison closer to family and friends. He enjoys ultimate frisbee, backpacking, road biking, mountain biking, reading, traveling, woodworking, gardening, ken burns documentaries, Broadway shows, and puzzles.
Dr. Jordan Ivey is a licensed physician and surgeon in Alabama and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She was born in Arlington, Virginia, but spent most of her childhood in Dothan, Alabama. Dr. Ivey attended Auburn University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014 with a major in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Spanish.
Dr. Ivey earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She spent her 3rd and 4th years of medical school at the UAB Huntsville Regional Medical Campus. It was during those years that she met her husband and fell in love with the Huntsville/Madison area. She completed both her internship in Internal Medicine and three-year Dermatology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. During her dermatology residency, she was awarded the Resident Teaching Award by medical students for excellence in medical student education.
Dr. Ivey is trained in medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. Her special interests include skin cancer prevention and early detection, pediatric dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology. She looks forward to providing comprehensive dermatologic care to her patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Ivey enjoys spending time with her husband, Ross, and their son, Sam. She also enjoys exercising, reading, and spending weekends in Auburn during football season. She is excited to be back in the Huntsville/Madison area and to join the wonderful team at Southeastern Skin.

Dr. Albert E. “Bo” Rivera founded Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology in Madison in 2012. He is a licensed physician and surgeon in Alabama, board-certified diplomate of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, a fellowship-trained member of the American College of Mohs Surgeons as well as member of several dermatology and medical specialty organizations such as the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, Skin Cancer Foundation and the Madison County Medical Society.
He was born and grew up in nearby Haleyville, Alabama, graduating from Haleyville High School. Afterward, he completed his undergraduate education at Auburn University, earning a degree in Premedicine and Zoology while also a letter-winning member of its’ nationally ranked track and field teams. Following his hometown friend and primary care doctor’s footsteps, he completed his medical training at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. His internship in General Surgery was done at the University of Kentucky, in Lexington, Kentucky, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute in Saint Petersburg, Florida. At Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri, he completed both a Dermatology residency as well as a Dermatology research and laser fellowship under the direction of Lloyd J. Cleaver, DO. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Rivera was nationally awarded the James Bernard, D.O. Residency Leadership Award based on integrity, respect, empowerment and initiative. The final honor in his training was completing a Mohs Micrographic Surgery subspecialty fellowship under the direction of Roger I Ceilley, MD and Andrew K. Bean, MD in West Des Moines, Iowa. Over the years he has had the opportunity to publish several articles in national and international medical journals as well as authoring chapters in medical textbooks and online. Dr. Rivera serves on the editorial board for the Jounral of Clinical and Aesthtic Dermatology, as well as having served on the Journal of the American Ostepathic College of Dermatolgy editorial board, and on the AOCD Editorial/Public Relations Committee and as an American Academy of Dermatolgy Liason. He has also given presentations at local, national and international venues to both non-medical and medical professionals throughout his medical career.
Dr. Rivera enjoys multiple aspects within Dermatology but has specific interest and extensive training in the prevention and treatment of skin cancers. Personally, he enjoys traveling, educating others, general fitness as well as participating in and viewing multiple sports. Also, away from work, he enjoys time with his wife, Stephanie, their children, and their dog. Numerous friends call the Madison and Huntsville area home and he hopes to contribute to and better all of the local communities. Locally, he has been involved with the Huntsville Committee of 100 and was a board member and officer of the Huntsville-Madison County Auburn Club. Dr Zimmer’s Dermatology residency was completed in 2020 at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was a Chief Resident from 2019-2020.
Dr Zimmer stays involved with the dermatology community through service on a committee with the AAD (American Academy of Dermatology), and also reviews scientific article submissions for the JAAD (Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology). She has contributed 19 scientific and medical publications, contributions, or presentations. Her special interests and training include complex medical dermatology, contact dermatitis/patch testing, and cosmetic dermatology. Outside of work, Dr Zimmer enjoys spending time with her husband, baking and cooking, and hiking and being with nature. Brian Lasker is the Practice Administrator for Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology. He has over 20 years of physician medical practice management experience. Brian received his bachelors degree from Mississippi State University in Banking & Finance in 1993. He then received his Masters of Business Administration degree from Mississippi State University in 1994. He has served as President of the Alabama Medical Group Management Association and the Birmingham Medical Group Management Association in addition to many years of serving on the boards of each. Brian has also served on several Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama committees. When not “managing”, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, travel, and Mississippi State sporting events.
Ashley is our front desk coordinator who moved to Alabama in 2016 from Navarre Beach, FL. She used to live the beach life, but has fallen in love with Alabama. Ashley lives in Meridianville with her husband and four children. They have 2 dogs and 1 cat (who rules the house). She enjoys spending time with my family and friends. Her family has relaxing weekends at the house swimming in the pool and watching movies as well as loving almost every genre of live music. The have been to almost every concert at the new Orion Amphitheater and also travel out of town often for live shows. Since joining the team, she has fallen in love with the world of dermatology, learning something new every day, especially that sunscreen is your best friend! She enjoys team building with our wonderful admin/reception team and building relationships with our patients. Ashley loves talking to patients and getting to know them and their stories so you will certainly see her active at your visits!
Bailey Kellum started with our wonderful team in 2022 at the age of 23. She has been working in health care since she was 19 years old! She has previously worked in cardiology and veterinary medicine. Bailey has a whole zoo at home that includes 3 dogs – Honey Cash, and Zeppelin – and two cats – Ozzy and Tommy-Lee. Bailey recently got married October 2022, after joining Southeastern Skin Cance r& Dermatology, and bought a home in Ardmore, Alabama. She loves working in dermatology and is so happy to be a part of such an awesome team!
Carly Robinson brought her wonderful personality to the Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology team in 2022. She is originally from Falkville and has 3 kids, Brady, Hollyn, and Collins. In her time away from work, she spends her days binge watching shows and hanging out with her kids. Carly enjoys making people laugh and smile so your time with us should be one to remember. Also, she would like you to know (gift ideas?) that her favorite food is Hunts Brothers pizza and boiled eggs.
Courtney is a wonder addition to the Southeastern Skin reception/admin team . She moved to north Alabama in 2022 with her boyfriend. Her favorite thing to do is going out with her boyfriend, family and friends. She loves shopping and trying different restaurants. Courtney is a very outgoing and talkative person which is a perfect trait for her position here. Her favorite part about working here at Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatologoy is getting to meet new people and being the first face they see!
Jalianna has been a part of our wondeful admin/reception team at SESCD since April 2023. She is originally from Mobile, Alabama and moved to Madison in January 2023. Jalianna loves Jesus, working out, and going to the beach (always wear your sunscreen!). Her favorite thing to do is spend time with friends and family. In her spare time, when not doing any of the above, you can find her at a good concert. You will enjoy experiencing Jalianna’s personality each time as you are greeted at our practice!
Jessica moved to Alabama in 2022 and is one of our valued reception members. She lives in Madison with her husband and daughter, Mabry, who is 4 at the time of writing. Jessica enjoys both the skin care and cosmetics side of dermatology. In her spare time she enjoys shopping, going to concerts, and watching rom-com movies. Jessica has been a great addition to the team with her uplifting personality and comedic relief. She has a great sense of humor and you can often find her and Ashley (or anyone else) laughing!

Lindsay Hayler, PA-C, MPH, MPAS is a certified and licensed physician assistant from the beautiful beach town of Wilmington, N.C. After graduating from Wake Forest University with a degree in English, she moved to Houston, Texas as a 2001 Teach for America Corps member. There she taught middle school English as a Second Language to beginning English speakers from all over the world. Upon completing her Americorps commitment, she entered graduate school at the University of Texas School of Public Health while also working as a graduate research assistant in Behavioral Science at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She completed Physician Assistant school in 2008 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and has practiced as a dermatology physician assistant since then. Lindsay recently became a Diplomate with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the highest honor available to an experienced dermatology PA, after completing their Distance Learning Initiative. Dermatology is her passion and she cannot imagine practicing any other type of medicine. Having suffered from severe acne since her teenage years, she has an affinity for treating acne patients and an understanding for the distress acne can cause. Lindsay enjoys salsa dancing, reading, traveling (India and Puerto Rico are her two favorite places so far!), playing the flute, and hot yoga. She has recently moved to Alabama and is enjoying her return to the deep South. Lindsay looks forward to serving you with a smile!

Stephanie is originally from Orlando, Florida and joined our team at Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology in January 2014. Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology in 2006 from The University of Central Florida. After graduating, she was employed as a Medical/Surgical Assistant and a Mohs Micrographic Surgery Histology Technician for a Dermatology practice in Orlando for one year. Inspired by this experience, she furthered her education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from there with honors to earn her Masters of Medical Sciences degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2010. She has enjoyed practicing Dermatology since graduation and brings a wealth of knowledge in general and cosmetic dermatology to our practice. Stephanie is experienced in all aspects of dermatology, providing a variety of treatments for the skin, hair and nails. Her special interests include cosmetic dermatology and the prevention, detection and treatment of skin cancer and accelerated photoaging. Surgery is among her passions and she enjoys assisting Dr. Albert “Bo” Rivera with Mohs surgical cases and closures, as well as performing minor excisions. Sarah, a Northern California native joined our wonderful team in 2021. She enlisted in the US Army when I was 19 years old and then was honorably discharged after four years serving as a medic in the 3rd infantry division. Sarah has worked in Dermatology since 2016. Her favorite things to do are watching movies with my daughter, Kaitlynn, traveling, and the outdoors. Dr. Carr earned his Medical degree from The University of Mississippi Medical School. Leathers award for the highest academic average GPA of his class over the 4 years of medical school. Patrick then Completed his Dermatology residency and Internal medicine internship at The University of Virginia where he served as chief resident during his last year. He has been published in many peer reviewed journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery among others. He has also co-authored multiple books chapters and presented at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual meeting. Dr. Carr is trained in medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. His special interests include skin cancer prevention and early detection, phototherapy treatment for medical conditions, complex medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and dermatologic surgery. Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife Jensen and daughter Lurae. They are excited to be in Huntsville/Madison closer to family and friends. He enjoys ultimate frisbee, backpacking, road biking, mountain biking, reading, traveling, woodworking, gardening, ken burns documentaries, Broadway shows, and puzzles.
Dr. Jordan Ivey is a licensed physician and surgeon in Alabama and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She was born in Arlington, Virginia, but spent most of her childhood in Dothan, Alabama. Dr. Ivey attended Auburn University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014 with a major in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Spanish.
Dr. Ivey earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She spent her 3rd and 4th years of medical school at the UAB Huntsville Regional Medical Campus. It was during those years that she met her husband and fell in love with the Huntsville/Madison area. She completed both her internship in Internal Medicine and three-year Dermatology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. During her dermatology residency, she was awarded the Resident Teaching Award by medical students for excellence in medical student education.

Bailey Kellum started with our wonderful team in 2022 at the age of 23. She has been working in health care since she was 19 years old! She has previously worked in cardiology and veterinary medicine. Bailey has a whole zoo at home that includes 3 dogs – Honey Cash, and Zeppelin – and two cats – Ozzy and Tommy-Lee. Bailey recently got married October 2022, after joining Southeastern Skin Cance r& Dermatology, and bought a home in Ardmore, Alabama. She loves working in dermatology and is so happy to be a part of such an awesome team!
Carly Robinson brought her wonderful personality to the Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology team in 2022. She is originally from Falkville and has 3 kids, Brady, Hollyn, and Collins. In her time away from work, she spends her days binge watching shows and hanging out with her kids. Carly enjoys making people laugh and smile so your time with us should be one to remember. Also, she would like you to know (gift ideas?) that her favorite food is Hunts Brothers pizza and boiled eggs.

Brian Lasker is the Practice Administrator for Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology. He has over 20 years of physician medical practice management experience. Brian received his bachelors degree from Mississippi State University in Banking & Finance in 1993. He then received his Masters of Business Administration degree from Mississippi State University in 1994. He has served as President of the Alabama Medical Group Management Association and the Birmingham Medical Group Management Association in addition to many years of serving on the boards of each. Brian has also served on several Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama committees. When not “managing”, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, travel, and Mississippi State sporting events.
Ashley is our front desk coordinator who moved to Alabama in 2016 from Navarre Beach, FL. She used to live the beach life, but has fallen in love with Alabama. Ashley lives in Meridianville with her husband and four children. They have 2 dogs and 1 cat (who rules the house). She enjoys spending time with my family and friends. Her family has relaxing weekends at the house swimming in the pool and watching movies as well as loving almost every genre of live music. The have been to almost every concert at the new Orion Amphitheater and also travel out of town often for live shows. Since joining the team, she has fallen in love with the world of dermatology, learning something new every day, especially that sunscreen is your best friend! She enjoys team building with our wonderful admin/reception team and building relationships with our patients. Ashley loves talking to patients and getting to know them and their stories so you will certainly see her active at your visits!
Jessica moved to Alabama in 2022 and is one of our valued reception members. She lives in Madison with her husband and daughter, Mabry, who is 4 at the time of writing. Jessica enjoys both the skin care and cosmetics side of dermatology. In her spare time she enjoys shopping, going to concerts, and watching rom-com movies. Jessica has been a great addition to the team with her uplifting personality and comedic relief. She has a great sense of humor and you can often find her and Ashley (or anyone else) laughing!
Jalianna has been a part of our wondeful admin/reception team at SESCD since April 2023. She is originally from Mobile, Alabama and moved to Madison in January 2023. Jalianna loves Jesus, working out, and going to the beach (always wear your sunscreen!). Her favorite thing to do is spend time with friends and family. In her spare time, when not doing any of the above, you can find her at a good concert. You will enjoy experiencing Jalianna’s personality each time as you are greeted at our practice!
Courtney is a wonder addition to the Southeastern Skin reception/admin team . She moved to north Alabama in 2022 with her boyfriend. Her favorite thing to do is going out with my boyfriend, family and friends. She loves shopping and trying different restaurants. Lindsay Hayler, PA-C, MPH, MPAS is a certified and licensed physician assistant from the beautiful beach town of Wilmington, N.C. After graduating from Wake Forest University with a degree in English, she moved to Houston, Texas as a 2001 Teach for America Corps member. There she taught middle school English as a Second Language to beginning English speakers from all over the world. Upon completing her Americorps commitment, she entered graduate school at the University of Texas School of Public Health while also working as a graduate research assistant in Behavioral Science at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She completed Physician Assistant school in 2008 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and has practiced as a dermatology physician assistant since then. Lindsay recently became a Diplomate with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the highest honor available to an experienced dermatology PA, after completing their Distance Learning Initiative. Dermatology is her passion and she cannot imagine practicing any other type of medicine. Having suffered from severe acne since her teenage years, she has an affinity for treating acne patients and an understanding for the distress acne can cause. Lindsay enjoys salsa dancing, reading, traveling (India and Puerto Rico are her two favorite places so far!), playing the flute, and hot yoga. She has recently moved to Alabama and is enjoying her return to the deep South. Lindsay looks forward to serving you with a smile!

Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology in 2006 from The University of Central Florida. After graduating, she was employed as a Medical/Surgical Assistant and a Mohs Micrographic Surgery Histology Technician for a Dermatology practice in Orlando for one year. Inspired by this experience, she furthered her education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from there with honors to earn her Masters of Medical Sciences degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2010. She has enjoyed practicing Dermatology since graduation and brings a wealth of knowledge in general and cosmetic dermatology to our practice. Stephanie is experienced in all aspects of dermatology, providing a variety of treatments for the skin, hair and nails. Her special interests include cosmetic dermatology and the prevention, detection and treatment of skin cancer and accelerated photoaging. Sarah, a Northern California native joined our wonderful team in 2021. She enlisted in the US Army when I was 19 years old and then was honorably discharged after four years serving as a medic in the 3rd infantry division. Sarah has worked in Dermatology since 2016. He has served as President of the Alabama Medical Group Management Association and the Birmingham Medical Group Management Association in addition to many years of serving on the boards of each. Brian has also served on several Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama committees. When not “managing”, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, travel, and Mississippi State sporting events.

Dr. Albert E. “Bo” Rivera is a licensed physician and surgeon in Alabama, board-certified diplomat of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, a fellowship-trained member of the American College of Mohs Surgeons as well as member of several dermatology and medical specialty organizations such as the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, Skin Cancer Foundation and the Madison County Medical Society.
He was born and grew up in nearby Haleyville, Alabama, graduating from Haleyville High School. Afterward, he completed his undergraduate education at Auburn University, earning a degree in Premedicine and Zoology while also a letter-winning member of its’ nationally ranked track and field teams. Following his hometown friend and primary care doctor’s footsteps, he completed his medical training at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. His internship in General Surgery was done at the University of Kentucky, in Lexington, Kentucky, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute in Saint Petersburg, Florida. At Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri, he completed both a Dermatology residency as well as a Dermatology research and laser fellowship under the direction of Lloyd J. Cleaver, DO. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Rivera was nationally awarded the James Bernard, D.O. Residency Leadership Award based on integrity, respect, empowerment and initiative. The final honor in his training was completing a Mohs Micrographic Surgery subspecialty fellowship under the direction of Roger I Ceilley, MD and Andrew K. Bean, MD in West Des Moines, Iowa. Over the years he has had the opportunity to publish several articles in national and international medical journals as well as authoring chapters in medical textbooks and online. Dr. Rivera serves on the editorial boad for the Jounral of Clinical and Aesthtic Dermatology and the Journal of the American Ostepathic College of Dermatolgy as well as serving on the AOCD Editorial/Public Relations Committee and as an American Academy of Dermatolgy Liason. He has also given presentations at local, national and international venues to both non-medical and medical professionals throughout his medical career.
Dr. Rivera enjoys multiple aspects within Dermatology but has specific interest and extensive training in the prevention and treatment of skin cancers. Personally, he enjoys traveling, educating others, general fitness as well as participating in and viewing multiple sports. Also, away from work, he enjoys time with his wife, Stephanie, a daughter who was born in 2015 and their Labradoodle. Numerous friends call the Madison and Huntsville area home and he hopes to contribute to and better all of the local communities. Locally, he is involved with the Huntsville Committee of 100 and is a board member and officer of the Huntsville-Madison County Auburn Club. Dr. Rivera has also been awarded the Doctor’s Choice Award in Dermatology for Madison. Dr Katelyn Anderson Zimmer is a licensed physician and surgeon in Alabama and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr Zimmer is originally from Missouri and she obtained her undergraduate degree in Mathematics (minors in History, Theology, Biology) in 2012, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Saint Louis University.
She earned her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2016. The following year, she completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Dr Zimmer’s Dermatology residency was completed in 2020 at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was a Chief Resident from 2019-2020.
Dr Zimmer stays involved with the dermatology community through service on a committee with the AAD (American Academy of Dermatology), and also reviews scientific article submissions for the JAAD (Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology). She has contributed 19 scientific and medical publications, contributions, or presentations. Her special interests and training include complex medical dermatology, contact dermatitis/patch testing, and cosmetic dermatology. Outside of work, Dr Zimmer enjoys spending time with her husband, baking and cooking, and hiking and being with nature. She is excited to live in Huntsville and serve the Madison/Huntsville community!

Lindsay Hayler, PA-C, MPH, MPAS is a certified and licensed physician assistant from the beautiful beach town of Wilmington, N.C. After graduating from Wake Forest University with a degree in English, she moved to Houston, Texas as a 2001 Teach for America Corps member. There she taught middle school English as a Second Language to beginning English speakers from all over the world. Upon completing her Americorps commitment, she entered graduate school at the University of Texas School of Public Health while also working as a graduate research assistant in Behavioral Science at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She completed Physician Assistant school in 2008 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and has practiced as a dermatology physician assistant since then. Lindsay recently became a Diplomate with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the highest honor available to an experienced dermatology PA, after completing their Distance Learning Initiative. Dermatology is her passion and she cannot imagine practicing any other type of medicine. Having suffered from severe acne since her teenage years, she has an affinity for treating acne patients and an understanding for the distress acne can cause. Lindsay enjoys salsa dancing, reading, traveling (India and Puerto Rico are her two favorite places so far!), playing the flute, and hot yoga. She has recently moved to Alabama and is enjoying her return to the deep South. Lindsay looks forward to serving you with a smile!

Stephanie Rivera is a Board certified Physician Assistant with a range of Dermatology experience. Stephanie is originally from Orlando, Florida and joined our team at Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology in January 2014. Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology in 2006 from The University of Central Florida. After graduating, she was employed as a Medical/Surgical Assistant and a Mohs Micrographic Surgery Histology Technician for a Dermatology practice in Orlando for one year. Inspired by this experience, she furthered her education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from there with honors to earn her Masters of Medical Sciences degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2010. She has enjoyed practicing Dermatology since graduation and brings a wealth of knowledge in general and cosmetic dermatology to our practice. Stephanie is experienced in all aspects of dermatology, providing a variety of treatments for the skin, hair and nails. Her special interests include cosmetic dermatology and the prevention, detection and treatment of skin cancer and accelerated photoaging. Surgery is among her passions and she enjoys assisting Dr. Albert “Bo” Rivera with Mohs surgical cases and closures, as well as performing minor excisions. A native Floridian, Stephanie enjoys almost any activity outdoors, volunteering and spending time with her husband, Dr. Rivera, their daughter who was born in 2015 and their Labradoodle. She welcomes you to the practice and will make your visit as pleasurable as possible!

Brian Lasker is the Practice Administrator for Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology. He has over 20 years of physician medical practice management experience. Brian received his bachelors degree from Mississippi State University in Banking & Finance in 1993. He then received his Masters of Business Administration degree from Mississippi State University in 1994.
