Though there are numerous types of skin cancer, three are seen the most often by dermatologists. Those are, most commonly, basal cell carcinoma, then secondly, squamous cell carcinoma, and lastly melanoma.

If you have any spots that are bleeding, hurting, frequently itching, growing, new or changing, be sure to rule out skin cancer as the cause. Absolutely WONDERFUL scraping done to diagnose scabies in our office!

First video shows the live scabies mite moving around under the microscope. The following photos in comments below show lower power views that include scybala (mite feces) and mite eggs...it was the trifecta!

Typically scabies "rash" can be found between fingers and in wrist folds along with the umbilicus (belly button), but other areas can be involved in addition. If you have a very itchy rash that won't go away with treatment then see your dermatologist for evaluation for scabies and other less common causes.
